When Should I book my session?

Sessions can be booked at anytime. I always recommend booking you session as soon as possible as dates can book up quickly.

Newborn Sessions | It is recommended to book birth photography, fresh 48, newborn lifestyle and studio sessions as soon as possible. Sessions are tentatively booked for your due date. When your little one arrives I just ask you to contact me and we will book a date that works well for both of us. Newborn studio sessions are recommended when your little one is about 10-14 days old, but can be done up to 4 weeks old. Lifestyle newborn sessions can be done at anytime.

Maternity Sessions | Maternity sessions are recommended when you are about 30-36 weeks pregnant.

Cake Smash Sessions | Cake smash sessions can also be booked in advance too. These sessions are recommend to be booked at least two to three weeks prior to your little one’s birthday/birthday party. This helps to make sure you have your edited images back in time for their special day.

Weddings | Weddings can be booked as soon as you know your wedding date. CLP is currently booking 2023 and 2024 wedding dates. CLP is available for both New Brunswick and Ontario wedding locations.

What should I bring to my session?

Newborn Session | Just your little one and immediate family. All props will be provided; wraps, bonnets, headbands, etc. It is recommend to bring along outfits for siblings and family members, but outfits and props for baby will be provided at your session. Extra diapers, wipes, formula and/or breast milk, soothers, and snacks for young siblings are also great to bring along with you.

Cake Smash Sessions | All you need to bring is your little one and a “cake smash” outfit. My birthday sets are done in a simple and timeless style, so minimum props are used. Any props required for your set; for example balloons, banners, etc. will all be provided by me. Cakes are also provided in some cake smash collections. This is of course, as long as your little one has no food allergies. “Pre-cake smash” outfits are also provided in the studio as well and can be worn by your little one for this part of the session.

Family Sessions | Just your family! If little ones are attending the session, little treats always help with smiles.

What should i wear to my session?

My photography style is very simple, classic and timeless. I always recommend families and couples to wear neutral colours. This helps to keep your images looking timeless and will match any decor when printing and displaying in your home. I always suggest to dress your family to match but don’t be overly “matchy matchy”. Avoiding busy patterns and logos is also recommended. Pinterest has some great ideas on how to dress for photography sessions, and I’m always willing to help with those last minute outfit decisions too.

What if i need to reschedule my session?

I totally get it, and this does happen sometimes. Whether it be sickness or the weather is just not cooperating with us for our booked outdoor sessions. If your session does need to be rescheduled, we will absolutely find a date that works well for both for us! Advance notice is always appreciated!

How soon after my session will i receive my images?

Each session will receive an online proofing gallery. Here, you are able to view your images, unedited. In your proofing gallery you are able to choose which images you would like edited for your final gallery. Typically you will receive your proofing gallery within one to two days after your session. Once you have selected your final images and submitted for editing, you should receive your final images in one to two weeks.

Each session will receive their final edited images in an online, password protected gallery. Here, you are able to download the images to your computer. I always recommend backing up your images and downloading to multiple computers and/or hard drives. Wedding clients will receive their galleries on a customized, crystal USB.

CAN I PURCHASE ADDITIONAL IMAGES FROM MY PROOFING GALLERY?

Yes, you absolutely can purchase additional image from your proofing gallery. Additional images can be added on to your final gallery for editing. Additional images can be purchased for $15 +HST per image. You may also choose to upgrade your collection after viewing your proofing gallery. Upgrading your collection is a more cost effective option when purchasing additional images.  

Do you offer printing options?

Yes, I do!! And I promise they are gorgeous! I always suggest printing your images! If you are interested in purchasing prints from your session, I’m happy to pass on my printing price list. The lab I works with is amazing, so if you have any special printing requests, let me know!

When is my session payment due?

Each session is required to pay a non-refundable retainer fee that is required to reserve your session date. This is due at the time of booking. Please remember sessions are not booked until the retainer fee has been paid. The remaining balance is due on the date of your session.
